Star Power!

A star is a fixed luminous point in the sky at night, it's a large remote incandescent body like the sun. We as humans have that same ability to shine in the darkness. Let us be the light and spread love, peace and joy throughout the world. "Let your light shine before men so that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence , and (recognize and honor and) glorify your father in heaven."...

New Beginnings!

I am so happy to share with you all that I have been accepted into The Academy of Art University.  I will be obtaining my MA in Fashion Journalism.   My school is located in San Francisco, California and I live in New York City. Thank God for technology (lol) I will be attending school full time online. Now this should be very interesting for me because I have never been a part of an online program before. I am both nervous and excited to push past my comfort zone and be challenged in new ways. I know that this degree will help take my fashion career to the next level.  A few weeks ago I was able to visit the campus...

Lace & Pearls

Timeless and Elegant are two words that I would use to describe the fabric lace and the jewel pearl. Both pieces make a statement all by themselves, but paired together they create a remarkable look of beauty and sophistication.  To create this look I decided to layer two shirts together. The first one is a black blouse with sheer and pleated sleeves and the second one is a all lace vest with ruffle detailing on the sides add this adorable yellow skirt and platform sandals and the look is complete!  Black Blouse with sheer and pleated sleeves : Forever 21 /  Lace Vest with Ruffle Detailing : H&M / Yellow Skirt: Who What Wear - Target /  Black Platform Sandals: Payless...

Splash of Gold!

We all want to look and feel like a million bucks, but tell me who really wants to spend a million dollars on their wardrobe? Certainly not me! This looks total was over $2,000 , but I recreated it for only $150.00!  Now that's how you get the look for less! Ladies I have said it so many times you DO NOT have to spend a fortune to look fabulous.  If you see an expensive outfit in the mall or in a magazine that you would love to buy. Instead of trying to figure out a way to purchase it without going into debt (lol) May I suggest taking a picture of it and begin to shop around and see...

Easter 2017!

"Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he may die, he shall live. and whoever lives and believes in me shall NEVER die. Do you believe this?" (John 11:25-26) This is the resurrection power of Jesus, and it is available to all of us if we would only believe!!!!! Happy Resurrection Day from my family to yours..! Bunny Ears & Blue Hair ...

Pretty in Paisley!

What can I say I am truly a girly girl! Put me in a skirt and some heels any day lol! I just love this paisley printed skirt from Forever 21. It's long, cute, and was totally affordable. Remember ladies you do not have to spend a lot to be fabulous. I love the fact that you can dress it up or down. I chose a graphic tee to wear with it this day (graphic tee's are so in right now) but ultimately I could have worn a blouse and given it a real sophisticated look.  What are some of your favorite prints? I would love to hear from you ...

Step into Spring!

It's finally starting to feel like Spring here in New York! The birds are chirping , the flowers are blooming and I'm falling in love with the weather of course (lol) ! It feels so good not to have to bundle up well at least during the day that is. At night there is still a winter wind that sends chills down your back! (not a pleasant feeling I must say)  Anyway I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and do a photo shoot! I absolutely LOVE Spring! Not too hot not too cold it's the perfect weather combo. You can put on a summer dress with a jacket or rock some cute opened toed shoes. Here's to...

PFW / Part 2

My second show was a presentation by designer Martin Grant. Martin is an Australian designer who launched his first ready to wear collection at the tender age of 16. He was quickly noticed by the Australian fashion industry and was named designer of the year. This young prodigy went on to study sculpture at the Victorian College of the Arts, but soon after relocated to Paris where he established his studio. There he produced his first runway show in the heart of the Marais district. Throughout the years Martin has built his own fashion house and has become a prominent designer with a network of private clients and international buyers. His designs give me a Jackie Kennedy feeling, very first...
