Design duo Laurence & Chico has done it again with another mind blowing show, but this time the audience left New York and flew straight to Thailand!
Laurence and Chico is a Canadian based women’s wear brand. The brand was started in 2015 by Laurence Li and Chico Wang; who met while attending Parsons fashion school in New York City. Laurence is the illustrator and muse while Chico is the Creative Director. The duo put their creativity and love for fashion to good use by developing a brand that is not only appealing, but versatile. On February 7th2019 Laurence and Chico presented their F/W 19 collection and took NYFW to another continent! Asia to be more specific. The runway lit up with beautiful tropical floral printed suits, bold colored tulle, flowered ruffles and denim dresses inspired by the beautiful culture of Thailand. What I love most about this collection is that it is truly ready to wear; yet not boring. You can purchase it right off the runway and wear it to your next event. That says a lot about this brand and them as designers.
There is truly never a dull moment at a Laurence and Chico show. I absolutely LOVE seeing their intricate detailing, mixed prints and how they turn a runway show into a work of art.

The Romance Returns
Ever wonder where did the romance go? Well look no further it is here!! Romantic yet chic and sophisticated Designer Son Juan Wan gave NYFW a show to remember.
Son Juan Wan is a South Korean designer who started her brand in 1989; after graduating college. Since then she has been creating fabulous feminine pieces that will leave you speechless. Son Jung Wan presented her F/W 19 Collection on 2/9/19 at Springs Studios for NYFW, and she did not disappoint. Romance Returns was the name and inspiration for this collection. A mix of faux furs, checkered and floral prints; with bold striking colors combined with pretty pastel sequins and embodied fabrics sashayed down the runway. I was in love with the whole collection from beginning to end every piece was beautifully made.
My favorite looks from this collection were looks 3 which was an orange and navy tweed peplum dress with ruffle detail and deep v-neckline. Another favorite look of mine was look 6 a turquoise and multicolored rex fur jacket and matching diagonal striped wool pencil skirt. Last but certainly not least. My last two favorites were looks 12 and 35. Look 12 was an orange faux fur coat with orange and turquoise striped sleeves and matching orange mermaid skirt. Look 35 was a silk pink and beige patterned long sleeve gown. This show was so amazing; from beginning to end. I can not wait to see what Son Juan Wan does for S/S 20! I know it will be equally as amazing!
