I had the great opportunity of going to Paris for Fashion Week this season and it was amazing! I have always dreamed of going to Paris one day, and that dream finally became a reality. I fell head over heels with the city. It had me at hello….! (lol) My friend Chinaza and I stayed at the Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel which is located at 18 Avenue de Suffren right by the Eiffel Tower. Literally right out side the doors of our hotel stood the iconic tower. It was awesome to see the Effiel Tower up close and personal. I however; did not go to the top, I am such a chicken (lol) but there will always be next time.
My First Show in Pari
Designer : Pascal Millet
Pascal Millet is a Parisian designer who has always been fascinated with fashion. He studied at the Dijon Ecole des Beaux-Arts and at the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. Pascal is a modest man who likes to be in direct contact with his customers. For his F/W 17 collection Pascal stayed true to his idea of the Parisian woman. “She creates her own style and has a passion for mixing very feminine and seductive pieces with classic and androgynous tailoring.” His collection was sophisticated and modern with a twist of sensuality. Perfect proportions and technique and a clean simple silhouette. I especially loved the way he played with colors and patterns. I love to mix and match textures, colors, and prints, so this was just up my ally. I also loved the way his pieces were fun and vibrant. Definitely very youthful and could easily transition from day to night. I honestly loved his whole collection and can’t wait to see what he’s going to do for S/S 18
